More on the Pillow Pets Frog

The pillow pets frog is known as the friendly frog. Ok, nice alliteration there but not the most imaginative name. He gets this name because he has a huge smile on his face. And since frogs tend to have very wide mouths this works. If most people were to look at the toy they would guess he was a frog or a toad (toad of Toad Hall even).

In fact he is a very cuddly looking toy and although a frog probably isn't the first animal a child would think of when they wanted a stuffed toy, on first sight of this little critter they might be tempted to go for him.

The Pillow pet comes in a green, frog like color, apart from the underside of the mouth which is a lemon or yellow color. He also has large, white plastic eyes which is a bit of a difference from most of the other Pillow Pets toys. I guess this is also true to the frog physiology as they have large and pronounced eyes.

The material used to make the friendly frog is called chenille. This is a plush type fabric that makes the toy soft to the touch. Kids will love to hug the toy and play with him.

When they have finished playing the friendly frog can be turned into a pillow. There is a Velcro strap on the bottom of the toy which unclips to flatten the body out and become a pillow. It will make sleeping easier for young children if they can see their little pal next to them when they are trying to go to sleep. Some folks have even heard their children chatting to their Pillow Pets before falling to sleep.

The Pillow pets frog can come in 18 and 11 inch models. The size refers to the square size of the pillow that the toy makes. 18 inches is the most popular in terms of size and the price is not that much different.
